Tanzania Expresses Concern Over Middle East Crisis
In an official statement released Saturday, the ministry said the government is actively monitoring developments on the ground and has maintained open lines of communication with Tanzanian diplomatic missions operating across the affected region.
"Tanzanian nationals residing in or traveling within the affected areas are strongly advised to remain vigilant, prioritize their safety, and adhere to guidance issued by local authorities and Tanzanian missions," the statement said.
The ministry further reaffirmed Tanzania's alignment with the broader international community, underlining the country's commitment to de-escalation and the peaceful resolution of disputes in strict accordance with the founding principles of the United Nations Charter.
The statement positions Dar es Salaam among a growing chorus of nations urging all parties to step back from the brink, as fears mount over the potential for the conflict to spiral into a wider regional — or global — confrontation with severe humanitarian and economic consequences.
